The next, the month was over, and I had no idea what I’d actually accomplished. Sound familiar?
In the rush to plan what’s next, I often forget to check in with where I’ve been. Without reflection, it’s easy to repeat the same cycles making me feel unorganized, scattered, or stuck.
That’s why I started doing a Month in Review. And it’s changed the way I plan my week.
Why a Month in Review Matters
We’re all busy. That’s exactly why reflection matters. Taking 10–15 minutes to pause and reflect can help you:
- Acknowledge your wins big and small
- Learn from what didn’t work
- Adjust your goals moving forward
- Clear mental clutter before mapping out the new month
What to Include in Your Month in Review
Here are a few questions I always ask myself:
- What went well this month?
- What challenges did I face?
- What routines worked or didn’t work?
- What felt aligned? What felt draining?
- One thing I want to improve next month:
